I’m working on something fun right now. Should turn out cute, hopefully.
I’m sure you can tell what kind of theme it is… 🙂
More about this later!
I just wanted to pop in and show you some of the decor from my nieces birthday, just to give you a little something for Make Something Monday.
Today, I’m doing a little bit of celebrating with my husbands family and tomorrow my husband and I are going out, so between today and tomorrow I might just drop a line or two.
Anyway, here some of the goodies…
So this bright little number that I showed you earlier,
turned into this…
I cut all of this with my cricut and then just punched holes and strung ribbon through it. Just a tip if you own the cricut and haven’t really tried different paper. Construction paper does horrible in it. It’s constantly shredding. Stick with cardstock, like those two butterflies.
My lovely sister in law made this cute wall/door hanging.
Didn’t it turn out adorable!
and then we got together and made a couple of these…
Sorry about the messy counter, it was a party after all, with lots of kids. 🙂 and lots and lots of butterflies.
Anyway, the party was a success and the birthday girl, got lots of goodies!
Well, I gotta run, birthday lunch with my Mom!
Let’s jump right in!
I’m thankful for this book I just finished! I’m loving this series. It sounds kind of silly (it’s about faeries) but it really is a good story.
This is the second book in the series, so if your interested, the first book is called Wings.
I’m also thankful for girlie birthday crafts that I’m working on…
my cricut, which I’ve been using to cut all this fun stuff out with.
This machine really is a life saver if you love scrapbooking or are doing crafts all the time.
I’m also thanful for this beautiful weather and view I have from my balcony.
and lastly I’m thankful for clear stamps. I’ve never really been on board the stamp train, but every since I saw Dear Lizzy’s line and stamps I knew I wanted them and now I know how AMAZING the clear stamps are. I can’t seem to get enough of them and bonus, Michaels has a ton of them in their dollar bin. Yippee!
Soooooooo…. What are you Thankful for?
I’m crossing my fingers that I get something on my wishlist this year! Don’t you just love that fabric? It’s so vintage, I want to make a quilt out of it and that instax mini, can we say gorgeous!
So what made it on your wishlist this year?
Okay so I finished the other layout for my nephew and let me say, after being spoiled with the cricut machine and not having all my crafts from home, it just seems like my layouts are very plain.
Oh well, I had fun doing it!
Sorry about the fuzzy pics, can’t seem to get good lighting for the entire page.
Here’s a close up of one of my favorite parts. I just love that the mommy to be gets to fill in the information after the little bundle of joy makes his appearance.
Isn’t that a great little sticker! Love it!
Oh and on the bottom right, I got to use my brand new stamps that I got for $1 and I put his name in block letters in the corner, just to add a little pizazz! It’s cuter than I thought it was going to be! Also just fyi the colors look really bad in the pictures but their much brighter and more retro looking! I love it!
Thanx for the feel better comments, because I’m feeling a lot better. I think I just needed a good nights sleep! I slept like a rock last night and didn’t get up until almost noon. It was wonderful!
So I will definitely start with, I’m thankful I’m feeling better! Bet you didn’t see that one coming. 🙂
I’m also thankful for collectors edition books because they are so beautiful to look at. Every time I set foot in a Barnes and Noble I have to look at these. It’s so random, but I love them!
Kind of makes you want to own them, even if some of them are boring. 🙂
Okay the next one is silly but way too awesome to leave out of Thankful Thursday. I’m thankful for this barbie calendar that I found. I know, I’m a 26 year old gal who still likes barbie, but look at her, who couldn’t think she’s stunning.
p.s. I also have a barbie pinterest board. Just giving you a little sneak peek of the awesome boards I will hopefully be sharing soon!
I’m also thankful for the cricut magazine! Did you guys know cricut has a magazine? Also, bonus it doesn’t look or feel like a magazine it’s more like a book. Nice and thick, full of wonderful ideas for cards and scrapbooking!
If you don’t have a cricut machine, christmas is coming, put it on the list. They are amazing! I LOVE IT! My husband got it for my birthday and it rocks! There is so much you can do with them. They cut fabric, vinyl, paper obviously. 🙂 Lots of fun!
Last but certainly not least, I’m thankful for the loves of my life!
This is an older picture and I’m just so amazed at how small Aladdin was just a year and half ago. Time flies doesn’t it?
So what are you thankful for?
