The scrapbook page I showed you in the last post that had all the confetti was going to be the cover page of project life but I decided to put in on the backside of my new cover page. I’m loving my new page! Now the book starts the way I had hoped it would.
You can’t see it very well but the 12 X 12 background is black glitter which by the way made it extremely hard to glue the letters down. The reason it was so hard is because the glitter is very loose and powdery. So if you you’re ever going to purchase glitter paper, make sure it isn’t loose glitter.
Hopefully you guys aren’t sick of my project life stuff, I’m just so psyched! It’s lots of fun!
Have a great day!
I woke up horribly sick these past two days so things have been a little slow here, but good news, I got an album and made a cover page for project life! I’m so excited!
Here’s my lovely lovely turquoise album.
Isn’t it purrrrttttyyy?
and here’s my cover page for ya.
That’s supposed to be me and Jordan. ha ha So cute, I love my cricut machine!
I’ll tell ya, I will never glue that much fake confetti down again. Crazy annoying!
If you want a little tip for how to glue down confetti easily, get yourself a tooth pick and tweezers. I dipped the tip of the toothpick in Elmers Glue, dropped a little spot of it on the page, picked the confetti up with tweezers and pressed it down on the page. Worked perfectly, just took forever, because I wanted so much confetti. 🙂 I couldn’t resist a little bit of pizazz!
Also, just a little sneak peek of what I’m attempting now. I’m following this tutorial, because it looks easy enough and I’ve never quilted in my life. I have a jelly roll from long it’s not quite as pretty as her fabric but I think it will turn out nice! I still really like my fabric it’s just not as bright as hers. I love her turquoise, it’s so bright! Anyway, here’s mine.
Hopefully it will turn out nice. Cross your fingers for me, quilting doesn’t sound too hard, but thats just from everybody else’s pictures who have been quilting forever. Yikes… Here it goes. I’m hoping to have the finished product for you guys by next Monday, but we’ll see.
Random note, last night I played Monopoly with my family and I won! Funny thing is, I don’t think I’ve ever won Monopoly! This makes me happy! Also btw the green properties are my favorite. Love them!
Anyhow, I’ve just been browsing through the many scrapbook kit clubs out there and basically falling in love. You’ve got to check out these lovely kits you can buy! I so want to order some now!
Isn’t January’s kit beautiful! Great colors!
Little Black Dress Kit Club
Lots of fun goodies!
It’s says January but reminds me a lot of a Christmas kit. It’s the snowflakes!
Well I know nothing about these kits or companies, but they look lovely. However, I’ve never bought one of their kits so I can’t vouch for them but I’m seriously thinking that I would love a kit from studio calico. I’m just loving the colors and some of their past kits are gorgeous!
If you’ve ever bought a kit from one of these companies, let me know what you think. I would love some insight!
I have to start this off with:
I’m thankful for any kind of scrapbooking and especially this one that I just recently found and I’m definitely going try this year! I’m so excited to see how it turns out! It looks awesome! I’m not sure how a scrapbooking nut like myself never knew this existed or thought of doing it on my own. Can’t wait!
Isn’t that just gorgeous! This should be a lot of fun!
I’m also thankful for cheesy high school memories. I just found my letter jacket yesterday! It’s big and ugly and I LOVE it! I wish I had taken a photo of myself modeling the large hideous thing just for all you lovely people. I promise to get one for you later. 🙂
I’m thankful for a rockin workout/weight loss website I just recently found and can’t wait to give it a try and get started with the new year! I haven’t looked at everything yet, but I love that it takes body frame into account. It’s really informative in the fact that it basically says that every girl imagines and wishes for a stick thin Jennifer Aniston body and when they don’t achieve that, they give up. It helps women to see that if they have a curvier frame then shooting for a stick thin body is not doable because they have a bigger bone structure. Of course that seems obvious but sometimes I forget. I’m short, have wide hips that aren’t going anywhere, so my workout should be tailored to a curvier bottom half and maybe a better role model for me might be someone like Sophia Bush or Christina Aguilera. Hopefully this website can do me some good!
So, what are you thankful for?
